Mixing Instructions

Dispense distilled water into the bowl first in the ratios listed for each type of stone; add the powder and allow to settle into the water for 30 seconds. This will minimize the amount of air incorporate into the mix during spatulation. When using a manual vacuum mixer (hand cranked gypsum mixer) to spatulate, mix for 1 minute at 2 revolutions per second (120 R.P.M.'s).

If you use a mechanical spatulater designed for investing at a higher rate of R.P.M.'s the following will provide optimum results with all of Talladium's stones and plaster.

  • Place the bowl on a vibrator and form a vacuum for just 50 seconds

  • Power mix under vacuum for 10 seconds (1800 R.P.M.'s)

After disinfecting, rinse the impression under running water then soak for 5 minutes in Talladium's Impression Conditioner, a 2% potassium sulfate solution (2 Tbsp. potassium sulfate added to 1 gallon of distilled water). This solution will also provide additional surface hardness to your model because the potassium sulfate acts as an accelerator when it comes in contact with the stone. Debubbilzer may not work as a conditioner as some contain additives that will act as a retardant and soften the surface of the stone.
